Word & Worship – While I Wait

Today we take time to reflect on a precious verse and a beautiful song.   We call it Word & Worship.

God’s timing is ALWAYS the right timing.

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians‬ ‭6:9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“God’s timing is perfect.” ….Yeah, if you’re like most people, that saying sounds like a typical cliché to the ones who are waiting, rather than encouragement. It’s painful in the wait, and even scary at times. There’s so much room for doubt to weasel it’s way into our minds while waiting. Especially when the wait is long and seemingly unending. And the enemy, who’s working overtime, would love nothing more than to see us engaged in discouragement, doubt and despair.

But the truth is, it’s no cliché. Many can testify to the fact that when His promises did come to pass, there couldn’t have been a better time for them to manifest.

You see, it’s not that God is ever late showing up, it’s that we’re impatient. Rather than focusing so much on what we want to happen, we need to fix our eyes on and worship the one who holds it all in His hands and will keep His promise.

The wait challenges us, to grow and stretch our faith, and learn to trust our Heavenly Father. So that when our due season arrives, there will be no question that it’s exactly when it needed to be, and to God be all the glory!

OUR WORSHIP for TODAY: While I WaitLincoln Brewster

Whatever it is that you’re waiting for, we encourage you to release it to the Lord and practice patience. As you worship, think back to another time where God came through later than you anticipated, and consider how the outcome was so much better than you could’ve imagined. Praise Him for knowing better than we do.

Blessings on you today.

Deep within my heart, I know You’ve won

I know You’ve overcome

And even in the dark, when I’m undone

I still believe it

I live by faith, and not by sight

Sometimes miracles take time

While I wait, I will worship

Lord, I’ll worship Your name

While I wait, I will trust You

Lord, I’ll trust You all the same

You’re faithful every day

Your promises remain
