Word & Worship – Reckless Love

Today we take time to reflect on a precious verse and a beautiful song.   We call it Word & Worship.

God knows us by name and loves us relentlessly.

“Long ago the Lord said: “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.”   Jeremiah‬ ‭31:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Who can fathom the true depth of God’s unending, unconditional, unrelenting, unchanging love?  None of us can…but it’s real.  And it’s ours for the taking.  He never gives up on us.  He never denies us.  His arms are constantly open, ready to embrace us.  Even when we refuse to acknowledge or love Him back, His love for us burns stronger still.  It will never go out.  This is the love He has for every single person that has ever taken a breath.  Meditate on that a minute.  It’s the love from which all other love was birthed.

OUR WORSHIP for TODAY:  Reckless Love  – Cory Asbury

We challenge you today to get lost in the truth of this song.  Let tears of realization flow as you feel the magnitude of the Father’s love for you.  Be blessed today in Jesus’ Name.

Before I spoke a word, You were singing over me
You have been so, so good to me
Before I took a breath, You breathed Your life in me
You have been so, so kind to me

Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God
Oh, it chases me down, fights ’til I’m found, leaves the ninety-nine
I couldn’t earn it, and I don’t deserve it, still, You give Yourself away
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God, yeah
