Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12
“The key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering.” The quote attributed to Bruce Lee is one of my life goals. I want to make the best possible impact I can with the time I have. The problem is that I think I have plenty of it. But January the 1st rolls around each year, and before I know it, it’s September!
When it comes to time, discipline is in order.
When we number our days, we live lives of discipline. Just as we set aside money each month in order to build our retirement accounts, setting goals and working a little bit each day toward reaching them builds the legacy we want to leave, a legacy for eternal good. Living as though each day may be the last, we live with a heart of wisdom. Offering a word of encouragement, giving a helping hand, or gifting a person in need makes an eternal impact on another person’s life.
Live wisely. Every moment matters.
