Breath Day – May 12, 2018

… for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.  Philippians 2:13

Resurrecting her dream of singing, my friend told me about some unusual vocal scales she is to practice to improve her range.  “They feel strange, a little uncomfortable,” she said.  “But that’s what stretches you and makes you better.”

Do you have a dream?  Does it seem out of reach?  Do you limit your view of God’s ability to make it happen?  Would it cause discomfort and require your faith to stretch if you were to pursue it?

Our ideas, thoughts, and dreams pale in comparison to God’s desires for us.  The lyrics from Hillsong’s “Behold” remind us that “the things of earth stand next to Him like a candle to the sun.”

Dream big, friend, and dare to be stretched and feel uncomfortable.  You will experience higher peaks and ranges than you imagined.  God will work in you to fulfill His good purpose!
