Word & Worship – Break Every Chain

Today we take time to reflect on a precious verse and a beautiful song.   We call it Word & Worship.

There is protection in the name of Jesus.

“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are protected.”  ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18:10‬ ‭CSB‬‬

As followers of Christ, we’ve not only been granted salvation, but all the authority and power of Heaven over the enemy and this world. Unfortunately, all too often we either forget or don’t realize that we have such power, and that we can wield it just by speaking the name of Jesus.  So when the battles of life rise up against us, we tend to let fear overtake us, though the source of our refuge and protection is already ours.  We need only speak His name, and the Word says EVERYTHING has to bow to the name of Jesus, and we will be safe.

So we encourage you today, you, the holy, righteous and redeemed child of God, to rise up in confidence.   Rise up before whatever battle it is that you’re facing, and stand in your God given authority, operating in the power He’s placed within you: with the name of Jesus on your lips.

OUR WORSHIP for TODAY:  Break Every Chain – Jesus Culture

As we take advantage of this time to be especially intentional to draw closer to God, we must be intentional to learn and understand the power He’s given us; and then use it!  The name of Jesus.  The message in today’s worship song couldn’t encompass a better illustration of the power His name holds.  Blessings on you today and this week.

There is power in the name of Jesus
To break every chain
Break every chain

All sufficient sacrifice
So freely given
Such a price
Bought our redemption
Heaven’s gates swing wide

We believe!

There is power, power
Wonder working power
In His Name
We believe, we believe!

There’s an army rising up

To break every chain
Break every chain
