I am not always sure what to do when I am faced with the challenges that this world brings. I often let the weight of this world bring my spirits down. You know, it is easy to do when I allow my emotions control over my life. When I look at the problem, I give the enemy the appropriate time to help me lose all hope, all faith, and all the power that was given to me by being an heir to the King of Kings! Hope and faith keeps me going. However, when I surrender to life, I also abandon my hope and faith. In this world, the struggles and challenges will be tough. However, when I looked to my Father, I can live strong! I can live encouraged! I can soar like an eagle! No weapon formed against me shall prosper!
“And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:19
The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe (Proverbs 18:10). We are safe in our Father‘s arms. God sent his Son to earth so that He can experience our pain so He can empathize with us (Hebrews 2:14-18). Jesus is on the right side of God pleading our case. Jesus is standing in that gap. We are not alone. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
God’s word tells us that we don’t have to be afraid. God’s word tells us not to let our heart be troubled and do not be afraid. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you (John 4:27). So when we feel afraid, we just have to stand on his promises. There are over 50 promises in his word. Here are three of my favorites:
Psalm 18:3 – I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies.
Jeremiah 33:3 – Call to me and I will answer you.
2 Chronicles 7:14 – If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
His promises give us encouragement to make it from day to day. We are never alone. When you pass through the water, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze (Isaiah 43:2). Be encourage my friend! We serve a God that calm the waves. We serve a God that make mountains to move. We serve a God that overcomes the world. We serve a God that is for us! Stay encouraged in the Lord! We find our strength in the Lord. We find our hope in the Lord! We find peace in the Lord! I am encouraged because I choose to focus on my Father!
I am encouraged!
Because you are what God says that you are! You are enough!
