Word & Worship – More

Today we take time to reflect on a precious verse and a beautiful song.   We call it Word & Worship.

OUR WORD for TODAY:

He must increase, and I must decrease.  More of Him and less of me.

“As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God.”  ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭42:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We’ve just concluded the first week of a brand new year.  With new beginnings come new resolutions and commitments.  Today, our church, along with many others, begins 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting.  It’s a time where we push away things of this world, things that satisfy our flesh and soul, to focus on the Lord and our love for Him.  It’s a time to be so very intentional to connect and go deeper with Him, as it’s so easy to lose sight of Him as we go about our day-to-day lives.  We should ever be so thirsty for more of our Lord.  To want nothing more than to be in His presence every day and experience the fullness of His blessings and glory.  Sometimes, we need an opportunity to realign our focus.  What better time for a restart than at the beginning of the new year?

OUR WORSHIP for TODAY:  More – Red Rock Worship

There is no better song than this, to express our desire for God; for Him above all else. Allow the lyrics to stir your spirit as you worship; letting them become the cry of your heart. We pray you join us the next 21 days as we pursue our Father with intentionality in prayer and fasting.

I just want more, I just want more

More of You God, more of You

I pour out all I have and lay down all I am

I’m making room for You

Lord, I’m ready

To open up my heart, to receive not in part

But the fullness of who You are

Lord, I’m ready
