Breath on Paper is taking the next two weeks to share 30 Things About Me…. things that you may or may not know about us. We are uniquely and wonderfully made by a God who loves variety. You will get a glimpse of our personalities in this peek behind the curtains of Breath. Enjoy!

The middle child I am.
My uncle was actually the one who named me Sharon Darlene since my mom could only think of the name Patti. Thank you, Uncle Johnny!
I didn’t attend kindergarten, but I could read and write when I entered first grade.
I won a writing contest in 2nd grade. “Patch the Pony” was the main character.
Cake or pie? Pie, please.
I married my high school sweetheart. My mom swears that one day when I was in the second grade as we were passing by, I pointed at his home and said that I was gonna marry him one day. I’m not sure where I got that idea. I didn’t even like boys at that age.
I met and had my picture taken with Ed Mahon, Johnny Carson’s sidekick.
One of my favorite childhood pastimes was playing teacher, complete with a roll call and lessons written on the chalkboard (aka my bedroom closet).
Design Diva wannabe, that’s me. My favorite Instagram accounts to follow are home designers.
Chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla ice cream? Chocolate, hands down, is my favorite flavor
Because I gained a little weight when I was 8 years old, my brother’s nickname for me was Tank.
I have a great appreciation for so many colors, but there’s something about the color white which is so appealing to me. White pants, white shirts, white walls, white towels, white flowers, white furniture…and these are just a few of my favorite things.
I adore Pyrenees dogs and most animals that would live on a farm.
The farthest place I’ve traveled to is Los Angeles, California.
Hearing my other names, Mom or GiGi, is like music to my ears.
Yes, I was a band geek (as my children like to call it) in high school. Trumpet was my instrument of choice.
My favorite season of the year is definitely Fall. I enjoy the crisp, cool mornings, the changing colors of the leaves, pumpkins, and wearing comfy sweaters.
For me, mornings are the best time of the day. I like the quiet, solitude moments alone with God and a cup of coffee.
The four famous people I would invite to a cozy dinner party for conversation would be: Bono of U2, Kathi Lee Gifford, Sheryl Sandberg & Denzel Washington.
My four guest for a dinner party for spiritual conversation would be: Havilah Cunnington, Steven Furtick, T. D. Jakes, and John and Lisa Bevere (they count as one).
I’ve never broken a bone in my body.
My travel bucket list includes: Windstar Cruises of Italy and Greece, New York, Hawaii, Australia, and Ireland
I helped build a Habitat for Humanity home alongside Max Gail, who played Detective Wojo Wojciehowitz on the hit show Barney Miller.
I was in the United States Capitol just hours before the 1998 shooting incident when two police officers were killed.
I was born into a very large family with 22 uncles and aunts.
This is so sad and it’s difficult to admit: I was such the clean and neat freak as a child that I would get on my hand and knees looking for footprints across our tile floors. I know…it’s really sad.
