Word & Worship – Do Something

Today we take time to reflect on a precious verse and a beautiful song.                                                               We call it Word & Worship.

OUR WORD for the week:  SERVE

Jesus has called us to SERVE.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”  ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭4:10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

OUR WORSHIP for TODAY:  Do Something – Matthew West

LAST Saturday was Church of the Highland’s annual SERVE Day, where tens of thousands of people all across the state of Alabama went out into their communities to be the hands and feet of Jesus by serving those in need and just sharing the love of God.  In honor of SERVE Day, we’ve chosen a song that we pray will inspire you to do the same.  It’s up to us to represent Jesus to the world.

So, I shook my fist at Heaven
Said, “God, why don’t You do something?”
He said, “I did, yeah, I created YOU” (now listen)

If not us, then who
If not me and you
Right now, it’s time for us to do something, yeah
If not now, then when
Will we see an end
To all this pain
Oh, it’s not enough to do nothing
It’s time for us to do something
