Word & Worship – Love Ran Red

This semester we are writing on words of the Spirit and will begin each week with a Word & Worship inspired by the Word of the Week.  We hope you join us each day and enjoy the messages God has laid upon our hearts to share with you.

This week’s word is LOVE.

Today we take time to reflect on a precious verse and a beautiful song.                                                               We call it Word & Worship.

OUR WORD for the week:    LOVE

Jesus is LOVE.

“There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”  ‭‭John‬ ‭15:13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Jesus displayed the ultimate act of love.  He gave His life for ours.  Process that a moment.  It’s not just a story in an old book.  It really happened. So much love poured out for every single person who has ever breathed…so we may live with Him in heaven forever.  No matter who we are or what we’ve done, His love redeems us if we let it.

OUR WORSHIP for TODAY:  Love Ran Red – Chris Tomlin

Let the love of the Father given in the sacrifice of Jesus wash over you today.  Take a moment to think on just how great that love is and what it means for you, for all of us.  Allow yourself to experience it as if it’s for the first time and be sure to tell Him how much you love Him too.

At the cross, at the cross
I surrender my life
I’m in awe of You
I’m in awe of You
Where Your love ran red
And my sin washed white
I owe all to You
I owe all to You
