Word & Worship – Prince of Peace

This semester we will be writing on words of the Spirit each week and will begin each week with a Word & Worship inspired by the Word of the Week.  We hope you join us each day and enjoy the messages God has laid upon our hearts to share with you.

This week’s word is PEACE.

Today we take time to reflect on a precious verse and a beautiful song.                                                               We call it Word & Worship.

OUR WORD for the week:    PEACE

Jesus is our PEACE.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”‭‭  John‬ ‭14:27‬ ‭NIV‬

We carry the burdens of our days and life experience with us, lugging it around like oversized luggage, yet we’re desperate for relief.  We’ve been promised and gifted with the peace we so desire, we need only to release what we’re carrying in exchange for the peace that’s offered.  The peace we have in Jesus.  No, our problems don’t disappear, but we can rest in knowing the Lord is taking care of us no matter what our physical bodies experience.  It’s the peace that transcends all understanding. (Philippians 4:6-7)

OUR WORSHIP for TODAY:  Prince of Peace – Hillsong

Whatever your burden, whatever your storm, let the Prince of Peace meet you where you are and give you rest.  He desires to be our calm in the chaos.

My heart a storm, clouds raging deep within
The Prince of peace came bursting through the wind
The violent sky held its breath
And in Your light I found rest
