A Word for Destiny

Welcome to the Best of Breath Week

God loves you so much. He has already taken the time to design a specific path and destiny for your life. Even as I release these words, I feel an excitement for what the Lord desires to do in your life. You see, you have been created for greatness. There is something so unique and special about you. Many people can do the same thing, but no one else can do what you do, just the way you do it. And someone is waiting for you to step out into your future. Like a fingerprint, you are here to make your distinct mark on the world.

picture heart sun.jpgThere have been times when I’ve questioned myself and my abilities. “Am I good enough? Does God really want me to do that? Can I do it?” The truth is there are an endless number of thoughts and questions that can challenge our minds, so I’ve found the best thing to do is to seek out what God says about every situation.

He says, in Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

When you find him, it’s time to pick his brain and hear his heart. Having a relationship with God gives you access to everything he has, including wisdom.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” -James 1:15

After all Jesus came so that you could live an abundant life. That’s having more than enough of whatever you need. So, what do you need?

Picture futureIt’s easy to focus on the big things like a car or home, but there are some more important things that we tend to overlook. For instance, being able to live free and in peace, having a forgiving heart, knowing that somebody loves you, or believing that God has something wonderful planned for you. I think that these things are huge, and they’re important to God.

On occasion, we can read the Bible and still have questions about what direction to take in life. That’s okay. It’s during those times that God may send someone with a word of knowledge. It’s just a bit of information, a fact, that the person knows, only because it was revealed to them by Holy Spirit.

Have you ever heard someone say something and they were unaware of the weight of their words, but the revelation hit you like a ton of bricks? I believe that’s one of the ways that God gets our attention. It’s his way of saying “I see you.”

Or it could be a more direct word where the person seeks you out to give you a word of knowledge. Either way, knowing that God sees us is affirming and a great way to show that he loves us. Once he has our attention, we are open to receiving the direction and answers that he has for us. And that makes stepping into destiny a breeze.

Are you ready to make your mark?
