The Peace of God

Philippians 4:6-7    6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God; You will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live…..

To experience The Peace of God is to experience a supernatural level of trust in God alone.  This trust will allow you to act and move upon His commands without hesitation…. NO FEAR!   There is nothing that God has not already walked out in advance for us and He has already planned every divine intervention to spur us on into our destiny.  We can confidently endure the challenges and the hardships of this fallen world when we are consumed by His Great Peace ….trusting and knowing that God is in control of everything.  PEACE!

I have to work hard at not wanting to try to figure God out.  I selfishly prefer to be “in the know” and emotionally prepared before moving forward.  I would rather have time to brace myself for any sudden impact to lessen the oncoming pain.  But, God redeems pain with purpose and for me that purpose is often lessons in learning to TRUST Him deeper and to SEE that “He always goes before me to make a way” especially in the dark and painful seasons.  He commands me, “Be strong and be courageous for The Lord God is with you always!”  He promises to hold my testimony and my future in His mighty warrior hand.  And if I am willing to trust and go there in a fearless spirit, He will carry me through it strengthened by His Great Peace.   All He asks of me is that I obey and trust Him with all that “I AM”.    PEACE!

Romans 15:13  “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

As with the mother of Moses, Jochebed, her actions of obedience and courageous faith proved how God is so unbelievably in control of every detail of our lives, if we will just trust Him!  What seemed as a sure death for her baby boy caused Jochebed to pray hard, intercede, and focus on what God was telling her to do.  She put to use her skill of basket weaving to prepare the “basket-boat” for the baby’s escape from the orders of Pharaoh to kill all newborn males.  I can not even fathom the amount of prayer that she must have prayed over herself and her son to have had the strength to follow through with God’s command to release the basket onto the dark waters of The Nile.  For me, the only way to explain her courageous act of faith would be The Peace of God that must have consumed her heart and mind knowing God was in complete control.

I can hear her praying…….

“Save my baby boy that you have chosen! I give him to you,  Adonai, as he floats to freedom!  I trust the overwhelming pull on my heart to obey you Father God!  THE PEACE felt as I followed through was a peace only You could provide.  THE PEACE  numbed my heart and stabilized my fears as I released the basket.  I am confident my baby will arrive unharmed and found by the woman you have chosen to love him.  Keep me in your Great Peace, with a sound mind, as I continue to serve you Yeshua. ”  Bittachon (trust in God)  Amen

With a son of my own, I have experienced the overwhelming power of a mother’s love, and I am challenged by Jochebed’s faith and trust in God’s plan for her son.  She had a deep seeded trust that never wavered as she faithfully gave him over into God’s care.  Because she trusted and obeyed, Moses was saved, found, cared for, and eventually used to display God’s “Illuminated Glory”!   Divine Destiny revealed through Trust!

Proverbs 3:5  “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;”
