Sing It Out

                                                                        Sing a song of:

re·demp·tion
rəˈdem(p)SH(ə)n/
…the action of saving or being saved from sin, error, or evil.

Boaz, in the story of Ruth, was a REDEEMER:  a purchaser of freedom, a payer of debt, a successor of great wealth, a reliever of pain and suffering, a savior to a broken life, a provider of security and safety, a man of noble action, a covenant keeper, a commitment enabler, a light in darkness, a burden carrier, a maker of new hope, a creator of purpose, a lover to a lonely heart, a singer of a new song…..Selah!

Boaz was just a man but was used to foreshadow the Redemptive Image of our Lord God Almighty.  God never changes and what He was to His people back then, He is to His people now, a REDEEMER! God is Alive and well! Better sung than explained… by Nicole C. Mullins “Redeemer”.

Sing it out…

He lives to take away my shame
And He lives forever I’ll proclaim
That the payment for my sin
Was the precious life He gave
But now He’s alive and there’s an empty grave

And I know my Redeemer, He lives
I know my Redeemer lives
Let all creation testify
Let this life within me cry

As a passionate music enthusiast, I claim so many of my journey’s victories through the Grace received by His spoken word sung over me as song.  The words of gifted songwriters and musicians filled my then newly saved soul with truth, strength, and courage…perhaps one could view them as modern day psalmist! The music would effictively consume me and hold my attention while I learned the words….scripture….”as it is written”.  I would sing these songs over and over again sometimes not even understanding the power of the musical words coming out of my mouth.  I was unknowingly fighting Satan with the power of God’s word, the word just happened to be to music! I would cling tightly to it as I entered new seasons or when I was crying out to Jesus to make the existing one STOP.

Jesus and His beautiful ministering angels would send me songs of glorious redemptive sounds to comfort me, keep me still, make me breathe, feel His wings, dance with joy, to trust, but also to send me to my knees in repenting tears.  Prophetic visions would fill my mind and heart of me dancing with and for Jesus in gorgeous gowns and crowns. I was sparkling!  Jesus was ministering to me through music!

Be open to receive it! Amen

2 Samuel 6:14 “And David danced before the LORD with all his might, wearing a priestly garment.”

These songs would be ministered through chosen iTunes selections, the band in church, a random link from a friend, contemporary Christian radio on 24/7, and even the secular songs sounding different as Jesus ministered to me in spirit, nothing of the flesh.

I became enammered and sweetly obsessive with my endless playlist creations and music channels because I could hear Jesus and His angels calling out to me through them!  I learned how to accept His invitations “to go higher” with Him and hear His “concerts of the spirit”.  I became enlightened as I let go and as He spoke over me….“Beth, Dance your way through it!”  Jesus delightfully swooned me in and I found myself resembling a giddy school girl on the front row of a rock star’s concert!

“I AM”  completely smitten by this Rock Star, JESUS, who sings passionately and  powerfully His love songs of Glory and Grace over my melting heart! Breathless! Whoah! 😉

singing Zep3.17

So says the Lord, “YOU are Holy, Righteous, and REDEEMED….I have called YOU by name. YOU are mine!”

And His angels sing out….

Refrain:
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.
